The £1 Activity in Stamford That’s Fun for All the Family

In Stamford, there’s a simple joy that costs just £1 and is guaranteed to make your day. Pop into Harrison & Dunn, pick up a bag of duck food for £1 and head down to Stamford Meadows for a wholesome afternoon feeding the ducks (and the greedy pigeons).

Whether you're with little ones, or friends or just fancy a peaceful moment by the water, it’s the perfect way to slow down and will definitely make you smile.

Harrison & Dunn is a treasure trove of everything you could possibly need for your home, garden or next DIY project. If they don’t have it, you don’t need it! It’s the kind of place where you go in for one thing and somehow leave with an armful of useful bits you never knew you needed, and in a brilliant touch of sustainability, when you’re done with your duck food bag, take it back—they’ll reuse it, so you’re helping to cut down on waste too.

We had such a lovely day in Stamford, starting (of course) with caffeine from Scandi Coffee Co., where we bumped into some friendly faces.

From there, it was a morning well spent browsing Noughts & Crosses (a children's concept store you've got to discover!), Jojo Maman Bebe (for their spring sale) and Crew Clothing, soaking up the charm of one of my favourite local towns.

With the sun shining and spring in the air, feeding the ducks at Stamford Meadows was the perfect way to round off the morning.

There’s something timeless and heartwarming about it—a simple pleasure that makes you slow down and appreciate the little things.

If you haven’t done it yet, you absolutely should.
