A Visit to: The Queen’s Head Inn in Nassington

Mum and I had the pleasure of dining at the nostalgic pub in the Northamptonshire village of Nassington (PE8 6QB) thanks to In & Around Magazine who I've been writing restaurant reviews for recently.

The Queen's Head Inn is a 17th-century gem is bursting with quintessential English charm and full of family memories for me personally, as forgotten childhood memories of days by the river came flooding back. Where we spent weekends and summer holidays, mooring our narrowboat at the edge of the pub’s picturesque garden as it meets the river Nene.

The menu had us spoiled for choice for many reasons - not only was there extensive choice, but the price point and portion sizes are something to be raved about with starters from £6.35, mains from £15.75, deserts from £7.00 and even a glass of wine only £5.75 for a 175ml.

The warm and characterful decor and the generous portions are just a few of the reasons why we’re already planning our next visit, but what did we think overall?

Read my restaurant review in full in In & Around Magazine’s October issue (Page 16).
